Anybody interested in the arts and literature will enjoy Comedy of Mistakes. A (nearly) original play, it turns Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra into a theatre guide, the very first such endeavor in Hong Kong. The story follows a classic by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, retelling the Sherlock Holmes mystery, The Speckled Band.
In the first part of the show, the actors that are the cast and crew are putting together a production of The Speckled Band. Multiple production mistakes get in the way of Holmes trying to solve the mystery in this play within a play production. Then in the second half of the show, the correct version of the production is shown.
In an hour you get a hilarious comedy and you leave the theatre learning about the various elements that go into producing a play.
What’s stopping you from laughing yourself silly and supporting live performances?
